"I am keen to provide to clients the sort of service I would want if I was the one sitting across the desk seeking advice, namely conscientious, approachable and sympathetic."
Victoria studied for her LLB Law Degree at the University of Sunderland obtaining a BA (Hons) in 2010. She then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Northumbria University in 2012 and has worked as a paralegal for two years in a small legal firm before joining Kay Boswell & Co.
Victoria has experience working in family law and specialises in protective injunctions and children matters and also advises clients regarding divorce and separation. She also assists with criminal matters.
"I have a particular interest in child protection, domestic violence and abuse work, offering a sympathetic approach along with support to clients".
Kay Boswell qualified in 1982. She is the founder of the firm, which was established as a general practice in 1989, Kay having experience of different types of law including Family, Conveyancing, Crime, Wills and small business work. She has maintained an interest in those types of work to support other members of the firm.
Kay is a member of the Law Society Children Panel and Family Panel, representing parents, other family member and Care cases and where children require to be represented in law proceedings. Kay also represents parents and other family members in disputes such as Residence or Contact, particularly where there are allegations of domestic violence. This requires a distinct and careful approach before the courts.
Kay also has specialised in defence criminal work.
"Since before becoming a solicitor I have had an interest in domestic violence and abuse work. I have worked with women's refuges for many years and have advised organisations as to how solicitors work with those suffering domestic violence. I have extensive experience of obtaining injunctions and other emergency court orders".
Kay is a Legal Services Commission Peer Reviewer and received a score of 1(excellent) in her own file peer reviews.
